OKI seeking consultant for NKY traffic count

The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) is requesting statements of qualifications for consultant services to collect traffic volume data on approximately 142 freeways, ramps, and major roadways in Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky.

OKI, Greater Cincinnati's metropolitan planning organization, utilizes traffic count data as part of its regional travel demand model. This model is used to inform future demand forecasts, traffic flow and engineering analyses, and corridor studies.

Proposals will be accepted through 4 P.M. on July 24 and will be evaluated based upon project understanding, approach to completing the scope of work, and the experience of key personnel.

OKI board ratification is scheduled for August 9, with a notice to proceed scheduled for August 14.

Funding for the traffic count comes from Kentucky planning funds through the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), in coordination with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
